About Jeswald Auto Truck Service
Jeswald Auto Service started out in 1939 by Joseph Jeswald and Tony Metello rebuilding starters and generators in an old chicken coop behind Joseph’s house on Meridian Road in Youngstown. Joseph’s sons Frank and Jimmy helped out while working at Youngstown Welding. After returning from the Korean War, Frank and Jimmy built a shop next to Joseph’s house where they did auto repairs and body work.
In 1966, Frank took the lead and with the help of family members, including his sons Chuck and Tony, along with plenty of their friends, the business continued to grow through the years. In 1979, Frank purchased our current headquarters on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown Township because the business out grew there current location, and with Austintown’s growing population the need for a towing service within Township limits arose.
In 1990, Chuck and Tony took the reins, renamed the business Jeswald Auto Truck Service, and in 1997 they were awarded the towing contract for The Ohio Turnpike Commission and the company hasn’t looked back since.
In October of 2014, we had to abruptly say goodbye to Chuck with his unexpected passing. Now Tony exclusively taking the gearshifts and with the help of our employees, great customer base and positive attitude we will continue to grow to keep up with demand. “.

Jeswald Auto Truck Service is family owned and operated since 1939… Many insurance companies will reimburse their customers for towing services.
